From the moment I started writing my business plan to purchasing updated software and visiting the bank for my first business account and learning about how to charge and file tax, the idea became so much more real and clear. I can still remember my first client and the first job I had billed out, what a sense of accomplishment! The great thing about the design industry is that you have the pleasure of being able to meet and work with a wide range of business, people, products and challenges. The possibilities are endless, technology is changing ever so quickly and the job never really gets boring. Working in an industry that is greatly affected by the the twists and turns of the economy as well as the changing seasons it's important to stay positive, build strong business relationship though networking and keep moving forward. In my experiences so far it has been a rewarding process after 10 years of working actively within the industry. I'm passionate about design and really couldn't imagine doing anything else!
